PROBLEM

HEATER
LEAKING
*
DO NOT open any electrical panels on the water heater!
* Turn water off at valve located on top of
the water heater.
* If leaking continues, turn off main valve
to house.
* Turn water heater Breaker off in Breaker
Box
* IF GAS: Close gas valve near water
water heater.
SCALDING
HOT
WATER
*
Shut off electric in Main Breaker Box.
* DO NOT open any electrical panels on the
water heater!
* DO NOT use water until heater has been serviced!
WATER LEAKING
FROM
CEILING
* Shut off valve on the main
water
service.
* Blade handles turn
perpendicular
to the pipe. * Wheel handles
crank right until closed.
WATER SOFTENER LEAKING
* Put Water Softener on bypass by turning
either the:
* Pointer Valve to the Bypass position. * Push Valve to the Bypass position.
LEAK OR FLOODING
IN YARD
* DO NOT turn off your meter
at the street.
(You can be billed for
damage to the meter.)
* Turn Sprinkler Valves Off.
SEWER
BACK UP
*
DO NOT use water or flush toilets.
* Shut off Washing Machine and Dishwasher.
GAS ODOR
OR SMELL
* Exit the house.
* Call Gas Company.
* Shut Main Valve located outside of the house.
* Wait OUTDOORS until someone arrives.
